Tandoori Chicken Using Electric Tandoor


Ingredients :

Chicken Leg pieces : 5
Chicken Tandoori masala / Chicken masala : 1 tbspn
Garam masala : 1spoon
Turmeric Powder : 1/2 spoon
Dhaniya Powder / Coriander Powder : 1/2 tbspn
Jeera powder :1/2 tspn
Chilly Powder : 1/2 tbspn
Ginger garlic paste : 1 tbspn.
Corn flour : 1 1/2 tbspn
Oil : 5 Tbspns 
Salt as per your taste
Food Color (Orange)


Db's Tandoori Chicken




















Method : 

1. Clean Chicken
2. Have a Deep Cut in Chicken so that our masala can get into it.
3. Heat pan with 4 cups of water. Drop chicken into it + 1 spn of Salt  and let it cook for 5-7 mins.
4. Remove chicken from water and let chicken dry for 2 mins.
5. Take a Bowl,
* Drop Chicken Pieces
* Drop Chicken masala, garam , turmeric , chilly powder , jeera powder , coriander powder 
Ginger garlic paste and salt as per your taste.
* Mix well so that chicken pieces get masala into it.
* Add Food color Powder & mix .
* Add 2 Tbspn of oil over chicken and mix lightly.
* Finally add corn flour over the chicken pieces and mix it.

6. Let this masala spreaded chicken soak for 30 - 45 mins.

Using Electric Tandoor :

1. Preheat tandoor : 5-7 mins
2. Make use of Foil paper and place it in tandoor plate.
3. Grease the foil paper with 1 tspn of oil.
4. Place chicken in foil paper .
5. Close it and let it cook for 2 mins.. Do check in between to avoid over fry of chicken.
6. Do apply oil on each chicken piece after one more min.
7. Turn each chicken piece and let it cook for 2 mins.
8. Remove pieces from tandoor plate carefully.
9. Decorate with Coriander leaves and Ring Onion



This is My Best Dish as far now :) It tastes awesome if you maintain proper timing in tandoor.
Since chicken is cooked lightly before we place in tandoor .. 5-7 mins heat is enough for tandoori.

    1. It's aluminium foil paper that you normally use to cover chappathi rolls for keeping them warm... am sure you can get it in nearby super market .. Thank you ! Happy cooking :)
