Spicy Chettinadu Fish Fry

Know About What You Eat -

Method :
  • Clean the fish and make a small cut in it's stomach to make our masala get in to it :)Take 15 to 17 dried red chillies (Kaintha milagai) ,10 garlic pieces, tamarind - small amt , Sombu / fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon , ginger - 3 slices and salt as per your taste . Grind all these stuffs with little amount of water. ( to make a thick paste)Apply the masala to the surface of the fish and leave it for 1 hour.
  • Place Flat pan ( tava ) on stove and add 4 spoons of oil
  • As soon as the pan gets hot, drop the pieces of fish on it
  • Add more oil, if the pieces seem to get stuck to the pan. Fry for 5
  • minutes.
  • Reverse the direction of the fish / slices and leave for another 5 Minutes.
  • Take the fish and keep it in a tissue for few mins and then serve hot our spicy chettinad fish with your bigu smile :) :)
