Ingredients :
Milk - 4 Cups
Basmathi rice - 1/3 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Crushed Cardamon - 3 to 4
Saffron - a pinch ( optional )
Condensed milk - 1tbspn
Pista , cashew , Raisins - few
Method :
Clean the Rice & Pressure cook it with 1 cup of milk and 1 1/2 cup of water . Wait for 3 whistles.
Once pressure releases , mash the cooked rice for soft consistency of payasam or if you wish for normal Rice in Payasam .. ignore mashing step.
Boil the remaining 3 cups of milk , Wait till it get boiled.
Add Cooked rice , sugar , condensed milk , crushed cardamon & saffron (opt)
Check for sweetness & pat yourself for your yummy payasam ;)
Let it boil until it gets to perfect payasam consistency ( 5 to 7 mins max)
Switch off the stove.
Fry cashew and raisins in 1 tspn ghee. Add this to payasam .
As a final touch , use chopped badam to decorate over payasam :)

Note :
When you pressure cook your rice , be careful about the quantities of each item .. Because if you use less amount water and milk , rice will stick to pan.
