Varieties of Tomato Chutney

* Hot and Tangy Tomato Chutney *

Ingredients :

Chopped Onion -2 
Chopped Tomato -2 
Dry Red Chilly -4
Tamarind - very small amt (or as your taste)
Salt to taste

Method :

Fry all the above items one by one and Grind it to paste.

* Coconut Tomato Chutney  *

Ingredients :

Chopped Tomato -2
Chopped Onion -2
Coconut - half cup
Urad dhal - 1 Tbspn
Dry Red Chilly - 3to4
Salt

Method :

1.Fry Urad dhal (ulutham paruppu) until it turn light brown.
2.Drop Onion , Red chilly and fry for 1 min.
3.Drop Tomato and fry it for 1 min.
4.Add Coconut and cook for 1 min.
5.Add salt and grind it.

Goes well with Idly :)

* Coriander Tomato Chutney *

Ingredients :


Chopped Tomato -2
Chopped Onion -2
Dry Red Chilly - 3 to 4
Coriander Leaves - half cup
Salt

Method :

Fry Onion,Tomato and Dry Red Chilly as usual.
While Grinding , finally add coriander leaves & grind once.
Add Salt.

* Thanjavur Tomato Chutney *

Ingredients :


Chopped Tomato -2
Chopped Onion -2
Dry Red Chilly - 3 to 4
Roasted Gram (Pottu kaldalai) - 1 Tbspn
Salt

Method : 

Fry all the Above items and Grind well.
