Ingredients
Maida / all Purpose flour - 1 cup
Butter - 1/2 cup
Egg - 3 no.
Baking powder - 1/2 tspn
Baking soda - 1/4 tspn
Sugar - 1/2 cup.
Vanilla essence - 1/4 tspn
Milk - 3 tbspn
Salt - a pinch.
Steps for making Sponge cake
1. In a bowl , sift maida , Baking powder , baking soda and salt.
2.Beat 3 eggs(white) using hand mixer or electric blender separately.
3. In another bowl add melted butter , sugar and vanilla essence and 3 egg yolks. Whip nicely so that it forms a smoothy texture . Sugar must be completely blended with mix.
4. Add milk and beat with it.
5.Add the flour to this mix slowly and blend it.
6. Add the white egg mix to the cake batter.. mix the batter nicely so that everything blend together.
7.Pour the batter to a butter greased pan .
8. Preheat the cooker for few mins.
9. Put salt in the base of cooker.
10. Remove the casket of cooker. Dont use whistle.
Place the batter tray in cooker. close the cooker.
Keep the gas in low flame for 25 to 30 mins.
11.Check the cake using a tooth pic . if its done it will be non sticky. let the cake completely cool.
