Sundakai Poriyal / Turkey berry Fry

Ingredients  Sundakai - 1 cup Tomato - 1 Onion - 2 Curry leaves Turmeric powder - 1tspn Chilly powder - 1 tspn Garlic cloves - 3 or 4 Vegetable oil - 2 tbspn Salt as per taste Steps 1. Heat pan with oil , Drop mustard, curry leaves & Garlic . Saute for a minute and add chopped onion , saute for 2 mins. 2.Add chopped tomato and saute until its soft and mushy. 3.Add chopped sundakai. 4. Add chilly powder ( i used homemade chilly powder 1 tbspn ) if its not possible for you.. Add 1 tspn of red chilly powder & 2 tspn of coriander powder. 5.Add turmeric & Add salt. 6.Add little amount of water and mix. Close the pan with lid. Let it cook for few mins until all water is absorbed .. open the lid now and then & stir .. so that the masala doesnt stick to the pan. 7. Fry till crispy fry is formed. Sundaikai will shrink nicely  Serve it with curd Rice .. Best combo 😍😍

How to prepare Manathakkali Vathal  Ingredients  Manathakkali - 2 cups Curd - 1/2 cup Salt - 1tspn *  Clean and wash manathakkali. *  Add salt to curd and mix well *  Add the manathakkali seeds to the salted curd and soak it over night *  Drain the manathakkali from curd and transfer to a plate next day & let it dry in sunlight. *  Evening , soak again in curd and repeat the same process till the curd completely absorbed by manathakkali seeds.  * Store it in air tight Box.

Masala Wheat dosa

Ingredients  Wheat flour - 1 cup Turmeric powder - 1tspn Curd - half cup Salt as per taste. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp. Finely Chopped onion - half cup. Finely chopped Corriander leaves - half cup Green chilli - 2 finely chopped. Method of making masala wheat dosa 1.In a Bowl take wheat flour & curd , mix together . 2.Add water for getting perfect dosa batter consistency. 3.Let this batter be closed for 10 mins. 4.Add chopped onion , chilli , corriander leaves , salt ,  garam masala and tumeric powder . 5.Mix everything together. 6.Heat dosa pan, spread butter or vegetable oil over it. 7.Make dosa with masala wheat flour batter. Turn it gently . Serve it with Chutney.

Javvarisi Pasi Paruppu Payasam

Ingredients  Pasi paruppu or moong dhal - half cup. Sago / javvarsi - a hand full. Jaggery or nattu sarkari - half cup. Coconut - 3 tbspn roasted in ghee (optional)  Cardamon - 2 or 3. Cashew nuts and raisins  Badam for garnish. Steps 1.Roast the moong dhal for  2 mins and wash them once. 2.Pressure cook it for 2 or 3 whistles 3.Mean while , boil the sago / javvarisi with 2 cups of water with a pinch of salt.  4.Heat a pan , add ghee  5.Fry cashew nuts and raisins. 6.Add the cooked moong dhal and half cup of water to it. 7.Let this boil .    Add the cooked sago to boiling moong dhal. 8.Add the powdered jaggery and mix well. 9.Stir the payasam .. check the consistency & add water if needed . 10.Finally add ghee roasted coconut to the payasam & switch off the stove. Healthy  & yummy treat is ready for you.

Aviyal is a delightful mix of all sort of vegetables . This goes well with kara kuzhambu / vathal kuzhambu & it is also a best side for kara adai & Aapam .,.. This is my Mom's Favorite dish <3 I dedicate this recipe to my mom Mrs. Ambiga thavasaiyan :) Pagarkai theeyal is a kerala recipe .. Normally i hate bitter guards but this recipe is an exceptional case :) :)  if you cook in the correct manner ,  You ll never feel any kind of bitterness in this dish. .. Pachai Payaru / Green gram Curry is a special side for chappathi. My dad's daily dinner is chappathi, he never complaints about the same kind of side dish daily but i really got bored cooking the same kind of kurmas , tomato curry for chappathi . So i started exploring different sides for chappthi & i came across this awesome healthy side for chappathi. The mind blowing fact about this Green gram is , it is considered as the healthy weight loss food and it also helps to reduce the high cholestral in our blood system.. Vazhaithandu Kootu ( Banana Stem )

Ingredients : Banana Stem Chopped - 1 cup Moong dhal : 1/3 cup Turmeric powder - 2fat pinches Chilly powder - 1/2 spn OR Sambar powder -1/4 tspn Chopped Onion (small size)- 1 Chopped tomato (medium size)- 1 To Grind : Coconut - 3 to 4 tbspn Jeera - 1 tspn Green Chillies - 2 to 3 To Temper : Mustard,Curry leaves Method : Clean the chopped banana stem and soak it in water with 2 tbspn of curd. Use fork and mix the banana stem in curd water. ( this will remove the threads in chopped banana stem ) Drain the banana stem & transfer this to a Pressure cooker , add water ( 2 to 3 cups ) Add  a pinch of turmeric and 1 spn of salt , mix well and close it with whistle. Wait for 3 whistles. Once the preasure releases , Drain the Stems. Heat cooker with 2 tbspn of oil , drop mustard , curry leaves , Onion. Add Tomato.
