Green Curd Rice

 Ingredients  Curd - 1 cup Coriander leaves - half cup Ginger - 1 or 2 slice Green chilli - 1 small Steps 1. Grind the above ingredients with little salt. 2.Add it to the mashed rice & mix well. Add extra curd if needed. You can also little amount of milk to avoid the sourness if you planned to eat lately. 3.Check salt and add if needed. 4. Do the tempering with mustard, a pinch of perungayam and curry leaves. Serve it with spicy side dishes.

Sundakai Poriyal / Turkey berry Fry

Ingredients  Sundakai - 1 cup Tomato - 1 Onion - 2 Curry leaves Turmeric powder - 1tspn Chilly powder - 1 tspn Garlic cloves - 3 or 4 Vegetable oil - 2 tbspn Salt as per taste Steps 1. Heat pan with oil , Drop mustard, curry leaves & Garlic . Saute for a minute and add chopped onion , saute for 2 mins. 2.Add chopped tomato and saute until its soft and mushy. 3.Add chopped sundakai. 4. Add chilly powder ( i used homemade chilly powder 1 tbspn ) if its not possible for you.. Add 1 tspn of red chilly powder & 2 tspn of coriander powder. 5.Add turmeric & Add salt. 6.Add little amount of water and mix. Close the pan with lid. Let it cook for few mins until all water is absorbed .. open the lid now and then & stir .. so that the masala doesnt stick to the pan. 7. Fry till crispy fry is formed. Sundaikai will shrink nicely  Serve it with curd Rice .. Best combo 😍😍

Ingredients Athikai / small figs - 1 cup Moong dhal - half cup Coconut  - 3 tbspn Tomato - 1 Cumin - 1 tspn Turmeric powder - 1tspn Home made chilly powder - 1tbspn Salt as per taste For tempering.. Mustard , curry leaves , dry red chilli - 2.no Ghee / veg oil  - 1 tbspn Steps For making Athikai Kootu 1.Clean moong dhal and pressure cook it for 2 or 3 whistles. 2.Wash athikai and cut it into half .. grind it coarsely or crush it using motor. I grinded light coarsely because my son eats it only if fig dissolves in gravy .. if we crush it ll be visible for him so he may avoid eating it... small trick to make him eat healthy foods. For others, you can also try crushing them lightly .. so that you can taste the fig separately in gravy. 3....

Coconut milk Rice

Ingredients  Coconut milk - 2 cups. Basmati rice - 1 cup. Meal maker / Soya chunks - half cup Capsicum - 2 (use different color so that appearance will be good) Onion - 2 (chopped straight) Green chilli - 2 (slice it straight) Ginger garlic paste - 1tbspn Salt as per taste. Mint & corriander leaves for garnish. Patta, bay leaf , Cloves  Sombu/ Aniseed - 1 tspn ( i prefer powdered) Steps Soak basmati rice before starting all other steps. Heat pan with 2 tbspn of vegetable oil  Add patta,bayleaf, cloves (opt) & sombu powder . Add Green chilli. Add ginger garlic paste. Add Chopped Onion & saute for few minutes. Add Chopped Capsicum . Add Soaked Rice & Add coconut milk  Add Salt & mix well. In a seperate bowl , boil water & put the meal maker in it.  Switch off it after 2 mins. Drain the water from meal maker completely by pressing each by your hand. Add meal maker to the pan we are cooking rice. Close...

Masala Wheat dosa

Ingredients  Wheat flour - 1 cup Turmeric powder - 1tspn Curd - half cup Salt as per taste. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp. Finely Chopped onion - half cup. Finely chopped Corriander leaves - half cup Green chilli - 2 finely chopped. Method of making masala wheat dosa 1.In a Bowl take wheat flour & curd , mix together . 2.Add water for getting perfect dosa batter consistency. 3.Let this batter be closed for 10 mins. 4.Add chopped onion , chilli , corriander leaves , salt ,  garam masala and tumeric powder . 5.Mix everything together. 6.Heat dosa pan, spread butter or vegetable oil over it. 7.Make dosa with masala wheat flour batter. Turn it gently . Serve it with Chutney.

Javvarisi Pasi Paruppu Payasam

Ingredients  Pasi paruppu or moong dhal - half cup. Sago / javvarsi - a hand full. Jaggery or nattu sarkari - half cup. Coconut - 3 tbspn roasted in ghee (optional)  Cardamon - 2 or 3. Cashew nuts and raisins  Badam for garnish. Steps 1.Roast the moong dhal for  2 mins and wash them once. 2.Pressure cook it for 2 or 3 whistles 3.Mean while , boil the sago / javvarisi with 2 cups of water with a pinch of salt.  4.Heat a pan , add ghee  5.Fry cashew nuts and raisins. 6.Add the cooked moong dhal and half cup of water to it. 7.Let this boil .    Add the cooked sago to boiling moong dhal. 8.Add the powdered jaggery and mix well. 9.Stir the payasam .. check the consistency & add water if needed . 10.Finally add ghee roasted coconut to the payasam & switch off the stove. Healthy  & yummy treat is ready for you.

பருப்பு உருண்டைக்குழம்பு / Urundai Kulambu

Ingredients  Kadala paruppu / Channa dhal - 1 cup Sombu ( Aniseed/Fennel) -  1 tspn Tamarind - small lemon sized . Onion - 2 no. Garlic - few. Tomatoes - 2 no. Coconut - 2 tbspn Kulumbu milagai powder (Homemade chilli Powder) 2 tbspn For Tempering  Mustard - 1 tspn Vendhayam - 1tspn Vadagam (optional) Curry leaves & coriander leaves. Steps for making balls  Soak kadala paruppu (channa dhal )for 1 hour (1/2 hr atleast) Coarsely Grind the soaked dal with sombu .(pulse mode twice or thrice) Transfer the grinded dhal in bowl. Add chopped onion ( half cup) Add chopped green chilli - 1 (optional)  Add chopped curry leaves and coriander leaves. Add salt. Make small balls and place it aside. Making of Urundai Kulambu Soak Tamarind 10 mins before. Heat kadai , add 2 tbspn of vegetable oil (or gingelly ) Do the tempering with mustard, vendhayam, vadagam(optional),garlic,curry leaves.
