Green Peas Rice




Ingredients 

Green Peas - 2 cups.
Chopped Onion - 2
Pudhina / mint leaves - half cup
Fennel seeds - 1 tspn
Salt
Oil - 1 tbspn

Rice - 2 cups
Water - 6 cups

Method 

Clean the rice.

Heat a pressure cooker with 2 tbspn of oil .

Drop 1 tspn of sombu/fennel seeds.

Add chopped onions & saute for a min.

Add Green peas & cleaned mint leaves & saute for 1 min.

Pour 6 cups of water to it.

Add the cleaned rice.

Add Salt & a small pinch of turmeric (opt)

Mix well & close the cooker .

Keep 3 whistles & wait until the pressure leaves.

Serve it hot with Onion Raitha.
